About Dr. Donthineni

Dr. Rakesh Donthineni is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon.  After completing his orthopaedic residency, Dr. Donthineni went on to complete a fellowship in orthopaedic oncology at Harvard Medical School (Massachusetts General Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Boston).  He has been on faculty at the Department of Orthopaedics, as an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania and at the University of California, Davis.  While at UC Davis, he developed the Orthopaedic Oncology division.  In 2007, Dr. Donthineni broadened his knowledge and skills into both spine oncology and general spine surgery in the department of Orthopaedics, Trauma and Spine Surgery at Ospedale Maggiore, in Bologna, Italy.

Dr. Donthineni now has a private orthopaedic surgery practice specializing in both Adult Spine Disease and Orthopaedic Oncology. The focus is managing patients with spine diseases (including neck and back pain; disc herniations; degenerative spine disease etc.), as well as on spine and extremity tumor management (bone and soft tissue tumors, including benign, primary and metastatic diseases affecting adults and pediatrics).
